JOSEPH G. CESARE, M.D. received his medical degree from Creighton School of Medicine. After completing a one year internship at Lankenau Hospital, he served two years in the United States Navy serving one year with the U.S. Marine Corp. He completed his residency program in orthopaedic surgery at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. He returned to practice general orthopaedic surgery in Scranton in 1974. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has served on the board of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and served as a counselor for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He was appointed as clinical assistant professor at Hahnemann Medical College in 1976 and served on the Orthopaedic Residency Committee. He practices general orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in arthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder from a conservative standpoint. Dr. Cesare is on the staff at Moses Taylor Hospital and Community Medical Center. |
