About

Philosophy of care

My goal is to provide the highest level of professional care in a compassionate manner. To spend time with each patient listening closely to their concerns, providing explanation on often complex medical conditions, making treatment decisions together, and building long term relationships.

Why I entered medicine

Rheumatology captured my interest as an Internal Medicine resident. The ability to diagnose and treat often challenging autoimmune conditions, as well as additionally being able to treat other non-inflammatory musculoskeletal processes, continues to make my days interesting and enjoyable.

Community involvement

I have enjoyed my years being very active in youth sports programs. Particularly my coaching and administrative positions with youth basketball and baseball leagues. Now I enjoy watching those athletes I coached and my own children from the stands at high school sporting events.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, such as taking trips with family and attending sporting events – especially at colleges our children attend. I enjoy running for exercise.
