Thomas W. Jordan, M.D. is a graduate of Scranton High School who received his Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees from The University of Scraton where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.  He also completed his Orthopedic Surgical residency training at Georgetown.  He then went on to complete a one year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy with Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jordan is the most experienced fellowship trained sports medicine surgeon in Lackawanna County.

Dr. Jordan specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. His surgical focus includes extensive training in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shouder including: ACL injuries, meniscal tears, rotator cuff disease, biceps pathology, and shoulder instability. In addition, he performs tendon repairs and ligament reconstruction, cartilage salvage and restoration, and manages fractures.  He also has expertise in Total as well as Reverse Total shoulder arthroplasty. 

Dr. Jordan is on staff at Geisinger Community Medical Center (G-CMC), Moses Taylor Hospital (MTH), and The Northeast Surgery Center.  He maintains his office here in Dickson City.

Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the The Arthroscopy Association of North America.
